The Barony of the Far West Coronet Heavy Weapons Tournament
Stronghold of Battle Rock (Okinawa, Japan)
One and all are invited to join Their Excelencies Abe Akirakeiko, Palatine Baroness, and Ii Katsumori, Baron Far West, on Battle Rock to find their most worthy successors to the Coronet of the Far West by strength of arms, and a Far West Champion of Arts and Sciences. This is a nautical themed event, and a special prize shall be awarded for the best map of the Barony! There will also be a Bardic competition, a rapier tourney, and a special prize for the most creative piece of armor or list legal weapon! Classes will be offered on various topics, including: One-sheet T-Tunic, Heraldic Garb and Heraldic Displays, Period Papermaking, Maille in the Current Middle Ages, and Saber Fighting.
Site Information: Kadena Marina: site opens 6:00 pm 8 Oct 2010, closes 1:00 pm 10 Oct 2010. Site Fee: $10 (no feast) / $20 (incl. feast) per adult; children 12 & under are free. Please make checks payable to "SCA, Inc.- Stronghold of Battle Rock."

Directions: From Naha Airport: follow Hwy 58 north approximately 16 km to Kadena Marina, on the left side of the road, across from the Kadena Air Base flight line. From Kadena AB: Turn Right out gate 1 onto Hwy 58 travel north to Kadena Marina (second light), on the left side of the road.
