Oertha Coronet and Investiture

Friday January 20th, 2023 to Sunday January 22nd, 2023
Fairbanks, Alaska

Come enjoy Winter Coronet in Winter’s Gate! The heavy tournament will determine the next Prince and Princess of Oertha. We’ll also have a rapier roses tournament.

The theme will be Italian!

Princess’s whim: felines in any mode
Prince’s whim: belts

SATURDAY. On Saturday (only) we have access to the kitchen and also an extra room: the multipurpose room, which can be used for A & S and extra seating (during the tournament). Royal ready room will only be available on Saturday.

A & S: We will also have Arts and Sciences: Bring your works in progress or finished items to display. The Ivory Spoon competition will be pickles in any period. And there will be a bardic.

The Lumen Borealis will be awarded twice a year, at each Coronet. It’s a Principality Award and Recognition of skills and arts. When you participate in local Baronial A & S competitions, you get points. They add up to make an artist eligible to win — so enter your local competitions!

There will be a light soup provided for lunch on Saturday. Feast will be provided on Saturday evening. Feast fee is $15.

BARDIC. Will be Saturday evening.

SUNDAY. Please plan your own food for Sunday. There are many outlets if you need to plug in crockpots, but no microwave on Sunday, since we do not have the kitchen on Sunday.

NOTICE:  Please note, this site DOES NOT allow alcohol or pets.

Also, on Sunday there will be church groups using the building, so please be respectful.
