Crosston Ball

Saturday February 24th, 2018
San Jose, California

Gentlefolk, join us for the Crosston Ball. Kick up your heels to our lovely Renaissance music and enjoy a potluck picnic supper in the evening. The Ball is at a lovely site in Downtown San Jose. Thrillingly, classes are 2 pm to 5 pm featuring English Country Dance, Burgundian bassedanse, Italian 15th c & 16th c balli, plus Bransles & Pavans for a variety of dance styles. If you are interested in playing with the Crosston band, please contact the musician wrangler. Volunteers gratefully accepted!

We will pause for an informal potluck dinner after classes. The site is very discreetly wet.

The ball itself will run from 6 to 10 PM, featuring Renaissance social dancing. There will be a gaming sideboard during the day, so don't forget to bring your purse filled with coin of the realm. Enjoy the lively English country dances much loved by Queen Elizabeth I. Show your prowess with Italian balli & cascarde. Brush up your knowledge of the bassedances of Burgundy.
