Meta Date Guidelines

Definition: A date associated with an event in the life cycle of the resource.

Obligation: recommended.

Guidelines main date:
1. The date associated with the creation or availability of the resource. For example, the date created, date formally issued, date modified or date(s) for which the resource is valid .
2. It is recommended that appropriate qualifiers be used with this element to clarify the type of date entered.
3. If the full date is unknown, month and year or just year may be used.
4. If unsure of the date, a question mark can be used to indicate a probable date.
5. Use the latest date on the website if no other date is available.
