The best way to site is to get to Danby Rd. either from College Rd or from the Johansen Expressway. Turn off of Danby on to Hampstead Ave (left if coming from College, right if coming from Johansen), follow the curve around, and the community center is located at the intersection of Bainbridge and Hampstead.

The First Unitarian Church of San Jose is located at 160 North Third Street in downtown San Jose across from St. James Park and between St. James and St. John streets. It is conveniently sited between Highways 87, 280, 880 and 101.

And it is easily accessible by bus, light rail and the Downtown DASH shuttle from Diridon Station.

Parking: Metered street parking is free after 6pm.

 

Take Highway 101 to Leavesley Road/ 152 West exit. If you are northbound on 101, turn left and cross the overpass. If you are southbound, turn right. From the freeway, site is about 4.5 miles away. Turn left on Monterey Road, and then Right on 1st Street. Cross Santa Teresa Blvd, 1st Street becomes Hecker Pass Highway. Turn right on Burchell Road; the gate will be on the left. 

 

If you are coming from Highway 1/ Santa Cruz or Monterey, take 152 east over Hacker Pass, and turn left onto Burchell Road. It will be right after Gilroy Gardens. 

Take I-5 North to Exit 775 in Yreka. Turn left onto W Center/E Miner St. Turn right on N Oregon Street. Turn Left onto Knapp Street. 610 Knapp Street is located behind 612 and accessed through the easement.

Please use the easement and driveway for dropping off and use the street for parking as space is limited.

 

From the Glenn or Parks Hwys, turn onto Trunk Rd and head toward the Talkeetna Mountains. At Bogard Rd., go left at the roundabout, then 1/2 mile to Engstrom (turn RIGHT at the fire station). Approx 3/4 mile up Engstrom, turn left onto Twin Lakes Dr (watch for St. Therese’s Camp sign).

This hall is the smaller building, ACROSS the open space from the large hall we have used in the past. Watch for signs.

 

From the south, make your best way to the Steese Highway/Airport Rd. Inter- section. Go north to the next light (Tenth Ave) and turn left. Take an immediate left at the Regency Fairbanks Hotel. The Moose Lodge is behind the hotel.

 

 

 

Please note – this site is not actually in Salinas proper, but north of Salinas in the Prunedale area.

FROM HWY 101: Take the San Miguel Canyon Road exit. Turn right onto Moro Rd (at the Valero Gas Station). The site will be on your right.
FROM SANTA CRUZ/HWY 1: Take the Salinas Rd exit, continue on Salinas Rd. Veer right onto Werner Rd after the golf course. Turn right onto Hall Rd. Turn right onto San Miguel Canyon Rd. Turn left onto Moro Rd (at the Valero Gas Station). The site will be on your right.
