La Prova Dura- Shire of Canale (Tres Pinos)
La Prova Dura again opens her arms to all who would face the challenge of a full day of fighting the best warriors in the Known World. Bring your banners, your pageantry, and all the prowess you possess. Come for the fighting, stay for the feasting and merriment including a feast prepared by Else Hunrvogt with Prime Rib, Smoked Wild Caught Salmon, Rauchbier Braised Ribs, Grilled Asparagus, and Stuffed Mushrooms, among other items.
This year we are pleased to also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of La Prova DiAmore - Sunday' s invitational tournament in which select fighters from Saturday’s tournament will be invited to champion their consorts as a "Proof of Love." Both online and mail-in registration open February 1st. Please use ACCEPS to pay by Credit Card, or mail a check or money order to the autocrat. If using the mail-in option, please include a note indicating your email address and which ticket types you are paying for. Please remember that the feast fee and the site fee are separate.

Directions: From South of Gilroy: Take the best route to US-101 North to CA-156 East toward San Juan Bautista /Hollister. Turn right onto Union Road. Turn right onto Airline Highway /CA-25. Follow CA-25 through Tres Pinos and the Fair Grounds will be on your right about a mile out of Tres Pinos.
From Bay Area: Take US-101 South. Take the CA-25 exit toward Hollister CA-25 merging right going into Hollister. Turn left onto Santa Ana Road. Turn right onto Fairview Road. Turn left onto Airline Highway /CA-25.
From I-5: Take CA-33 exit at Santa Nella towards Gilroy. Turn West onto CA-33. Merge onto CA-152 West toward Gilroy. Turn left onto CA-156 /Pacheco Pass Highway. Turn left onto Fairview Road. Turn left onto Airline Highway /CA-25.
