October Crown - Kingdom of the West (Herald, CA)

Come and join Their Majesties, Rolf and Aurora, in the selection of Their heirs. There will be fun and fighting for all. For A&S there will be the fabulous A&S display! Bring your pieces to show off, no documentation required! The populace will get to vote for their favorite piece and the winner will be awarded the Wreath of Athena. At the time of this writing, we are working with the park on having archery at the site. Please watch the Yahoo group for further details as they become available.

Conventions of Combat for October Crown Tournament

We have noticed an increase in the amount of "flat" blows thrown with swords.  To help increase fighter awareness, We have asked the marshals to be especially watchful for flats as well as anviling.   For Our Crown Tournament, in an effort to aid the marshals in observing blows that land "flat", We are requiring all swords have quillion-style cross guards added to them over and above any basket hilts, tsubas, or other hand guards.  We ask that everyone who reads this missive pass the information along to the fighters you know so that no one shall come to Crown unprepared.
