Ducal Prize Tourney
West & KHTI (Woodland, CA)

Ducal Prize is an event jointly sponsored by the West Kingdom and KHTI, with the profits to go toward the
purchase of a permanent tourney site for the West Kingdom. Since this is a jointly sponsored event be prepared to sign an event-specific waiver. Some of the competitions already on the schedule include mass weapon and buckler list, sword and shield list, superhero and cat's cradle melees, pike list, bastard sword list. There will also be chariot races for both kids and adults, the bucket brigade, and possible rapier activities as well.

The theme for the bardic competitions is Color My World (filk a song that the recording artist name or song title has a color in it.) Other bardic competitions are Period Style - Write poem in non-sonnet period style. 5 minute max; On-site composition - Pull 1 word from a hat on a mystery topic; and Period - Perform a period piece. 5 minute max. Friday night will feature the Special Request Bardic, beginning after dinner. Saturday and Sunday will be full of competitions, auctions and the world famous Ducal Garage Sale. Monday will wrap up with Monday Morning Wrestling and tear down.

As always we need stuff -- your stuff, my stuff, everybody's stuff! Donations to use as competition prizes, to fuel the Monster Auctions From Hell, and to sell at the garage sale. We can't hold a three hour auction for your listening and shopping pleasure if we don't have your items to sell back to you, can we now?
Remember, services as well as items make great auction donations. Dinners and such-like have been some of our most successful offerings! If you have any questions about whether a particular item would make a good donation, please contact the Supreme Commissar! Also contact her if you need to donate items before the event.
