Borderwinds Protectorate Tourney

Saturday August 5th, 2017
Arroyo Grande, California

It’s time, once again, for the Canton of Borderwinds’ annual Protectorate and Prize Tournament!

We would be extremely happy to welcome all to our event, which determines who the next Lady of Love and Beauty (or Lord of Love and Honor) and Canton Protector will be! The site is beautiful, with grass and lots of trees. Be aware that there is also a deep-sided creek onsite. This year, the Protectorate is open to all, the consort must be present, and the tournament winner and consort must commit to attending Harvest Feast and Court of Love.

There will also be our Fabulous Prize Tournament - running concurrently - for those not competing in the Protectorate, for all who want to show their fighting prowess and Chivalry, enjoy a day of friendly competition, or even just practice against someone new. Fighting/Tournament style - Bear Pit with any weapons

There will be three contests, open to ALL:
Dessert Contest — Dessert Featuring Fruit. Due to severe allergies, NO COCONUT products, please!
Bardic Contest — Best Song/ Ode/ Poem using the words LOVE, HONOR, and CHIVALRY
Best Death

Also, please bring to the Lady of Love and Beauty recommendations for awards for Most Chivalric, Most Courteous, and Most Honorable.

There will be a potluck BBQ after the Tournament. Bring your favorite meat to grill, and a dish to share.
