Good gentles, the day for selecting the next Bard of the Mists approaches! Come gather for a day of delicious food and merriment, of dancing between courses, of poetry, story-telling and song!
This year’s feast will be a treat for all. Questions about dietary needs should be directed to the Head Cook, Aine inghean Tuathail (aineofbedlam@gmail.com or call 408-722-5782). Feast reservations can be made by contacting Leah at events or electronically.
The competition consists of: a period piece, a piece in a period style, the Bard’s choice, a piece that showcases your talents, and three words from a hat. The Bard’s choice this year is ‘Unconventional Heroism.’ Please bring a copy of your source information for the period and period style pieces. This year’s competition is open to all who would like to perform- both competition and to audit. From the North, the East Bay, and South: Take I-880 to Exit 2 for 82 South/The Alameda in San Jose. Turn left onto 82 South/The Alameda. Turn right onto West Hedding Street. Turn left onto Morse Street. The church will be on your right.
From the Peninsula: Take 101-South to I-880. Take The Alameda Exit. Go 5 blocks to Naglee Ave. Turn Right. One block right on Morse
From Gilroy and farther: Take 101-North to I-280 to 87. Get off at West Taylor Ave and head west to the Alameda. Pass that one block to Morse. Turn right, one block down on the left is the church.
