And now, what you have all been waiting for, the Event Copy Template and Instructions!
The deadline for the Page is the first of the month preceeding the issue, at 5 pm West Coast time.
Earlier is always better.
Having said that, the event copy is allowed to be in the Page the month it happens, the month before it happens, and if it happens on the very first weekend of the month, the issue two months before it occurs.
Kingdom events get a full page, Principality events get 2/3 of a page, all others get 1/3 page. For reference, the template below is about 1/3 of a page.
All of the information in the template below is required, with the exception of the optional discounted fees for children, and the directions. The directions are a good idea, and strongly suggested.
We no longer accept event copy from the Autocrat.
Only the Seneschal of the Sponsoring Branch of the event may submit event copy for publication in the Page.
Event copy that does not contain all of the required information, in the correct order, and within the allowed length, will be returned to the appropriate Seneschal until all of the required information is provided in the correct order.
All information is due by the deadline, the first of the month preceeding the issue, at 5 pm West Coast time.
Due to the publication timeline, no exceptions can be made to the deadline.
Please use the template below to submit your event copy, that way you can ensure that all of the required information is included, and in the order that it will be published.

Exciting/ important information about your event, that does not fall into the categories of Site Information, Autocrat, or Directions. These follow closely behind.
Site Information: Name and/ or address of the site, site opens at ? and closes at ?. Site fees, $ for members $+3 for non members, optional separate discounted fee for children. Please make checks payable to "SCA, Inc.- Sponsoring Branch Here."
Autocrat: SCA Name, no titles (Legal Name), Mailing address / City State zipcode / 555-555-1212 / autocrat_email@email.com
Directions: The most concise and accurate directions you can accomplish. It also helps if you put the full site address in the Site Information section,including the zipcode, so that folks can MapBlast or Google it for themselves.
