Eskalya Yule

The nights have grown long and the fires of friendship burn away the bitter Oerthan winter. Their Excellencies of Eskalya, Gavin and Celstria, and His Excellency of Selviergard, Halfdan, extend a warm invitation to the First Annual Grand Yule. Their Majesties of the West, Hans and Helga, are journeying north to join in the celebration.

Bring out your best garb and dancing shoes. Prepare to regale all those present with stories that recount feats of renown and honor from the past year. Find a partner and dance until your appetite is ready to enjoy the bounty of the baronial lands as you feast with companions old and new. Bring your light to chase away the long winter night. An Arts & Sciences display is planned for throughout the day. Bring completed works or works in progress. Visit the display and cast a vote for The People’s Choice Award. Along with the display, a Period Winter Wear contest will be held. What would be winter wear worn in the time period of your persona? Documentation is encouraged. A prize will also be awarded for storytelling around the theme “Feats of the Year Past.” The annual Selveirgard contest for the Lord and Lady of Misrule will be held. Prepare your best period dessert to be named Eskalya’s Master or Mistress of Ambrosia.
