Oertha Winter Coronet & Investiture

Friday January 18th, 2019 to Sunday January 20th, 2019
North Pole, Alaska

The Winter winds howl in anticipation of the Oertha Coronet Touney. Who will be inspired to greatness? Who will be the one to seize the Lupine Throne? Join Their Highnesses Culann and Sefa in (The) North Pole to discover who the Oerthan heirs will be!

The event will take place at Hotel North Pole, located about 20 minutes outside Fairbanks, Alaska. Rooms at the hotel are available at a reduced rate once we reach 25 room reservations. When booking or checking in please let the hotel staff know your with the SCA group. The hotel website is http://www.hotelnorthpole.com. Please include in section for comments on their website reservations. Restaurants and a grocery store are within walking distance of the hotel.

There is an opportunity for a fundraiser lunch on Saturday. Interested groups should contact the autocrat. Please be advised that table space in the conference room is limited, but there is ample socializing space in the lobby. Remember to dress for Oerthan winter weather. Weather permitting, fighting will be outdoors so that the fighters are prepared and remember to pack cold weather wear for their kits. Fighters and consorts should be prepared for outdoor fighting as long as weather allows. Out of Oertha visitors who need extra warm garb or have weather related questions please contact the Event Steward.

Sapphira is working on indoor fighting space for contingency  at the “mall” next door (same parking lot, short walking distance). They have big huge hallways and very little traffic so she posed it to them as a possible demo, we are waiting on a final go ahead from the mall manager. Still no group code with the hotel, the manager said just to tell them you’re part of the medieval group when booking or checking in.
