Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium (Salt Lake City, Utah)

Friday April 29th, 2016 to Sunday May 1st, 2016

The Artemisian College of Heralds cordially invites you to join us for Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium 2016 in the Barony of Loch Salann (Salt Lake City, Utah), April 29th through May 1st, 2016.

The Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium (KWHSS) is the annual meeting of the College of Arms of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), and has been held as an annual event since 1987. This is a wonderful opportunities for Heralds and Scribes of the 20 Kingdoms of the SCA to meet up, share knowledge, teach and attend classes, and is one of the rare opportunities for members of the SCA to see the Laurel team's decision making processes for submitted names/badges/devices go live and in person at Sunday's Laurel Roadshow.

KWHSS will be held at Red Lion Salt Lake, in downtown Salt Lake, just minutes from the a light rail station (UTA Trax) which runs from the Airport to the U of U and up and down the Salt Lake Valley. In addition to the Symposium, Salt Lake offers many sightseeing attractions, including the Family History Library, the world's largest Library of genealogical research, with over 2 billion documents of names and dates, including records of individuals from before the 16th century.

A block of rooms have been set aside for The Known World Herald Scribal Symposium at the Red Lion for $99.00/night. I encourage everyone to book early, as spring tends to be a busy season in Salt Lake.

Site fee for this weekend will be $40 and details for pre-registration will be available soon.

Our class coordinator will be Mistress Heloys de Bec, OL, who can be reached at KWHSSClasses@gmail.com.

Updates will be available via the official website (http://artemisia.sca.org/new/kwhss2016.php), The Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kwhss?fref=ts), and Google page (https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/cq3vnuji5jmaa8e732u81jk6ik8?hl=en)
