The bi-annual Heralds Collegium will be held in Central Cynagua (East Sacramento) and will focus on voice heraldry (Court, Field and Duty).
Site opens at 9:30 a.m. and morning classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. After our lunch break, afternoon classes will begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.
Those interested in heraldry with no background are encouraged to attend as are those with limited experience. Those intermediate and advanced heralds will likewise have an opportunity to polish their talents. Duty and Field Heraldry will be team-taught by Senior Heralds during the morning and topics will include litany and flag protocol as well as voice training. We will break for lunch at noon and resume Court training at 1:00 p.m., beginning with Court Heraldry for Beginners and including a number of practical exercises. We will work on how to read and project at the same time as well as dealing with creating ceremony "off the cuff." There will be an opportunity for everyone, no matter one's experience level, to take part in the court heraldry exercises.
