Silver Desert Harvest Feast

Saturday November 16th, 2013 to Sunday November 17th, 2013

Join the Province of the Silver Desert as we celebrate the closing of the year with food and fun. Competitions that need preparation time: Bread Beast (Make a beast of bread to be served at the feast; judged on art and taste.); Period Arts (Any period work finished or in process, please include a short description.);Your best Calligraphied/Illuminated Letter (on a 2x3 paper, a single letter); Winter Bardic (a tale, song, or poem that has cold featured in it.); Best table decorations; Chess; and other competitions, dancing, and silliness are planned, so come and have a merry time.

Event Schedule:

Eating begins at Noon (Please bring a side dish to serve 8 people), Games begin at 12:30pm, Hall closes at 4:00pm. Fencing and Heavy Fighting at 4pm (Weather & willing bodies permitting) in the park across from the hall.

Start Time:

Hall opens at 11:30am. Event ends at 6:00pm.

Site Fee:

There is no site fee, but we ask each attendee to bringing a side dish to share with 8. The Province is providing Turkey. Donations to offset costs will be accepted.

Directions:

Take your best route to the Reno/Sparks area. Head East on I-80 exiting at Rock Blvd & head north to Oddie Blvd. Turn right onto Oddie Blvd & then right onto 12th St. The Library is on the right. If you are coming from the East, go west on I-80 & take the Rock Blvd exit.
