39th Egil Skallagrimson Memorial Tournament

Egils is fast approaching!

Join us in the Barony of Adiantum as we celebrate our 39th Egil Skallagrimson Memorial Tournament on May 24-27. We have something for everyone.  Go to http://www.egils.org for more information. 

Event highlights include:

Fighting - There is more than enough to sate your boiling Viking blood with 6 heavy tournaments, 5 rapier tournaments, 6 archery tournaments, and 2 thrown weapons tournaments. Looking for something different? We will have Norse Stickball and Glima (Norse wrestling). 

Arts and Science - There will be competitions in costuming, bardic, decorated useful objects, games, voyage cooking, and period encampments. We will also feature an Artisans Village featuring the crafts and work of our
talented members. There you will find classes and demos. 

Service - Egils succeeds with the help of our volunteers. Receive points for your time of service given to the event. Service opportunities abound be it helping with the gate, parking, lists, heralding, water-bearing, and others. Prizes will be awarded to volunteers with the highest points in a number of categories. Three Pillars - The Three Pillars tournament combines events in Fighting, Arts and Science, and Service for amazing grand prizes.

Family activities - Come with your children to explore the event with a family quest, express yourself with painting hour, practice your skills with gaming hour, and learn more about Youth Armored Combat from our Principality of the Summits Youth Armored Combat Officer. Parents or guardians need to be with their children for all of these activities. 

Merchants - In addition to seeing our area artisans in the village, we will feature some of the best merchants around. Browse through Merchants' Row and shop for exquisite merchandise and tantalizing food and drink.
