Foxwood's Longshoot (Marin Co., CA)

Saturday July 20th, 2013
Windsor, California

Join us July 20th in a private vineyard setting in the hamlet of Windsor for fun, games and archery, followed by a potluck feast.  Due to space and parking limitations, attendance is limited to the first 50 good gentles to reply.  Carpools are highly encouraged.   RSVP to the Autocrat is required.  There is no cutoff date for the RSVP and no site fee.

All participants will be placed into teams for friendly competition and bragging rights.  Points will accrue to each team in all games, though prizes will be given for individual prowess.  Archery will consist of a Royal Round along with Novelty targets and a clout shoot.  Fun and games will be held for those not participating in archery.  Period board games are available, where the more you win, the more you contribute to the point total for your team.  A cooking competition will be held for all to enter their best summer peach dish (documentation encouraged, but not required) as judged by the populace.  Bards and fledgling entertainers will have the chance to play, sing, recite or tell stories in public for fun and practice rather than competition.

Please indicate if you will join the potluck in your RSVP.  Our host is providing meat.  Potluck contributions are suggested below using the first initial of your SCA given name:

  • A-I side dish
  • J-Q nibble or appetizer food
  • R-Z desert.

Autocrat: Elynor Palmer
