Harvest Captaincy - Barony of Winter's Gate (Fairbanks, AK)
Warmer weather yet lingers so before the cold winds of winter drive us indoors it is the time for tourneys and frolics! Join us for our annual Fall contest to choose our next Captain for the Winter's Gate militia and a Rapier Commander for the Winter's Gate Cavaliers.
There will be various and sundry non-martial activities to occupy the non-martially inclined. The Foole will be sponsoring Heraldic Games - Charades? Jeopardy? We'll see. Bone up on your knowledge of heraldry terms and names/blazons of Oerthan persons in the Heraldic Colouring Boke! There will be prizes!
Dinner is potluck - please provide a dish that will serve 8, along with a card listing ingredients.
Site open: 12:00 p.m. Site close: 9:00 p.m.
Event fee: $7 for members ($12 for non-members); ages 6-17 are $3, and children under 6 are free. Checks should be made out to "SCA Inc - Winter's Gate".

Directions:
Make your best way to Airport Road. Drive to Peger Road and turn in the same direction as the "Pioneer Park" sign. The second drive on the right is to the canoe rentals, and that parking lot can be used for loading. To reach the pavilion, follow the signs. From the main parking lot off Airport Road, meander towards the back left corner of the park.
