March Crown Tournament

Friday March 22nd, 2013 to Sunday March 24th, 2013
Tres Pinos, California

Come bear witness and join Their Majesties, Obadiah and Ascelin, as They hold the tournament to determine who shall be Their heirs!

Words from Their Majesties, Obadiah and Ascelin:

We have declared that March Crown will be open to all who wish to temper the steel of Our next king with their mighty blows. Thus the first section of the tournament will be a round robin of six fields open to all authorized fighters. Those who wish to test the might of the contenders for crown may do so as a hammer forges a sword. A single overall victor shall be announced on each field. The two contenders for crown with the best record in their robin shall advance to the double elimination portion of the list. Those fighters who do not wish to contend for the crown may retire knowing that they have tested the worth of the crown contenders, added to the renown of the West and are welcome to enter the field of roses. List opens Saturday 8:00 am and closes 10:00 am. Invocation is at 11:00am.

The Queen will make a grand procession throughout the event to introduce Herself to the populous. The Queen's progress shall take place during the round robin portion of the tournament. Come say hello!

There will be Page School activities hosted in the Royal pavilion. There will be classes on colored yarn cords and marzipan candy sculpture. There will also be several period games set out for all to learn. Following Page School activities, there will be a Queen's Lemonade stand, bring your coins!

The Queen's Artisans will present a display of fine works open for public viewing. The display will be held in the royal pavilion beginning after the Queen's Progress.

After finals there will be a 2 hour break for dinner. Court will be held after this break, the populace is welcome to bring food into court. Immediately after court, the evening festivities will begin. In celebration of the day, The Angels will host a history keg, near the Royal pavilion. We will also be celebrating both the Queen's birthday and the Kings 25th knighting anniversary. (The King's knighthood is the same age as the Queen, if anyone asks!)

Sunday meetings are as follows: OC 8:00am, OP 9:00am, OL 10:00am, Roses 11:00am, White Scarf 11:30am. There currently is no plan for Sunday court.
